JUST SPORTS

well, the olympics have finally ended and i've found that one thing has held thru as long as i've been around. female gymnasts are the most spoiled & pompous athletes on the planet. pampered by their coaches and parents at a very young age, they're constantly told how good they are but when things go wrong they are ill equipped to handle failure. did you see the face on MCKAYLA MARONEY when she was standing on the podium after being awarded the silver medal?? second best in the entire world and she acts like that in front of the entire world? that's one teenager who needs to her face slapped for being disrespectful. what a bitch.

speaking of spoiled athletes.....as predicted here months ago, boston red sox manager BOBBY VALENTINE is doomed in beantown. the team has played mediocre baseball despite a 173 million dollar payroll and the players have simply turned their back on him.  look for him to reach a parting of the ways sooner rather then later because they never fire the players.

LSU superstar TYRANN MATHIEU couldn't stay away from the wacky tabaccy so COACH LES MILES yanked his scholarship and said 'adios' to the junior all-american. "you get one mistake at LSU and there's even a price for that. but you only get one. we wish tyrann well." HOW SURGICAL WAS THAT? fifth in the heisman voting last year and it means nothing when you break your promise to the coach. mathieu was suspended for a game last season for testing positive and signed an agreement when he returned to be substance free. another ghetto punk who thought he could beat the system.

how sweet is it that RYAN DEMPSTER is getting his ass kicked in the american league? there is NO WAY he takes his free agency anywhere but the light hitting national league. giving up 8+ runs a game is making this former cubpud wish he had taken the atlanta deal.

are the nationals really going to shut down STEPHEN STRASBURG for the rest of the season in a couple of weeks? or will we see a doctor step up to the microphone and announce that after a mayo clinic type examination, strasburg is 'good to go' and they'll be monitoring him closely. you don't get a shot at the world series that often and i think they would be foolish to send him home.

it's nice to see ADAM DUNN having a comeback year but it would also be nice to see him punch the ball to left field when they radical shift him.  nothing wrong with being on base for KONERKO & RIOS.

the cubs have a shot at 100 losses but 9 games with houston will probably derail that.

who will score more in august?  the cubs or the bears? gotta go.
