I just can't take this anymore. MITCH TRUBISKY is an embarrassment to football, the CHICAGO BEARS and their loyal-to-a-fault fans like me. He is a pouty whiny bitch who wants the televisions turned off at halas hall so he doesn't hear the bad men on tv talk say nasty things about him.............because it's tough to hear the truth about yourself when YOU SUCK.
He has contributed NOTHING to this franchise except setting it back another five years because VILLAGE IDIOT RYAN PACE traded everything to get this mutt. (but that's another conversation) He can't run the simplest of plays and gets hurt on NON-CONTACT runs from scrimmage. football is a tough game and it's not a good fit for a mama's boy who needs minute long hugs from his coach on freaking national tv!!
And now we have a mysterious hip "injury" being cited as the reason they benched mitch with just three minutes left in the game. nobody saw him go into the injury tent and no one saw him limping so badly that we would question why he is still on the field. the coaching staff is fooling no one with this bizarre story. MITCH THE BITCH sucked all night long and after the one touchdown drive, he never moved the ball past his own 36 yard line which meant the bears had no chance to win the game. hip, my ass. you were benched because you sucked.
And now we're all in the position being split personalities the rest of the season. rooting for the bears to win, of course, but not being terribly disappointed when they lose because we get a higher draft choice. OOPS, I FORGOT. WE DON'T HAVE A FIRST ROUND DRAFT CHOICE so fans better pray that CAM NEWTON gets healthy and signs with the bears as a free agent in 2020.
enough.

ALL SORTS OF STUFF
Back on july 8th, i wrote that police superintendent EDDIE JOHNSON would not be able to work with LORI LIGHTFOOT and would soon announce his retirement. it took just four months for that to happen as johnson announced his retirement this week.
Lightfoot is every cop's worst nightmare, a micro manager who has to have her fingers in every pie, no matter how small. she loves weekly meetings which cops hate because sometimes police work leaves you no time for 'waste of time' meetings.
Simply put, most day to day police work is none of her business.
********************************
The state of Illinois constantly makes me shake my head. they're broke and they admit it but in June, the new governor signed an expanded gambling bill which approved six new casinos and sports betting and everyone hoped the sports books would be up and running by football season. slow your roll, dude. the state is still drafting paperwork and MIGHT be open by super bowl. might.
However, in Indiana, the hoosiers have taken advantage of the sloths in Illinois government and had their sports books open in time for football season. SO WHAT, you say? well, let me explain it to you, linda. Indiana is is currently realizing $843, 000 per month based on the 9.24% theyve collected off each wager in the brick & mortar sports books, who paid $75,000 for their license.
However, in Illinois, they want TEN MILLION DOLLARS for a
license and a mere 15% of the action or 17% if you operate in cook county, and they're STILL FIGHTING over who gets what percentage of the initial cut. Indiana officials continue to rub their hands with glee and keep telling Illinos, "take your time boys, take your time."
************************************
business man of the month: a student in Minnesota, where they don't have KRISPY KREME stores, drives to Iowa every week and brings back a hundred dozen which he then sells for $20 a dozen. KK got all twisted up when they heard he was doing this and ordered him to stop. i still haven't figured out why---as long as he pays for the hundred dozen, what do they care what he does with them? student calls KK attorneys direct and explains he pays for his tuition this way AND he takes all the risk. they call off the dogs AND give him coupons for 500 dozen to help him along. nice.
**************************
and finally, SEARS/KMART announced they were closing 96 more stores which shocked me because i didn't even know they were still in business. brick & mortar stores have been rapidly disappearing over the last 10 years and quite frankly, with a few exceptions, they are all doomed.
I just ordered sweatpants yesterday and never left my office and they'll be on my doorstep wednesday. why go out in the cold ?
*************************
I have a manicure appointment. gotta run. have a great weekend and stay warm.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY INTERNET!
HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY TO THE INTERNET! that's right, it's been a half century since we started buying home computers and listen to that wacky sound when we used the alien sounding 'dial up' system to sign on to that wonderful new world that none of us understood, no matter who tried to b.s. you that they did.
Remember having to put in the ENTIRE web site address to make it respond and if you didn't enter it exactly, the 'net would spit you out quicker than a bent quarter in a las vegas slot machine. i remember the first time someone was verbally instructing me to enter a website and hearing jibberish like http, colon, backslash, @, index and html. true story....the first time that happened, i starting laughing so hard that i couldn't finish entering it and had to give up the command seat to my frustrated computer buddy.
And do any of you remember the real early days when you were working feverishly to finish a project (remember, we were limited in minutes back then) and the freaking phone rang and knocked you off line? and in those days, work wasn't automatically saved. ouch.
For better or worse, computers changed our lives forever.
********************************
And happy 12th birthday to the iPHONE, which entered our lives in 2007 and has since had eleven 'improved' models. i remember buying my first cell phone for $69 and got two months of 100 minutes FREE! after all, who could talk a hundred minutes? today's iphone has unlimited minutes (and a whole bunch of other goodies) but sells for $1200. i bought my first car for a hundred bucks.
**************************************
And speaking of phones and birthdays, HAPPY 46th BIRTHDAY to the cell phone!! n 1973, THE MOTOROLA DYNATAC 8000, it weighed two pounds, looked like an army walkie-talkie, was 10" tall and had a 60 minute battery life which took TEN HOURS to recharge. and it could be yours for the low, low price of $3,999.00. this is the guy who made the first cell phone call and a picture of the original beast. try slipping that phone into your pocket. FYI---if you saved this phone, it sells between $5,000-$15,000 today on ebay.

Motorola had already made our jaws drop when the monster became available in the early 80's when they unveiled the phone to end all phones in 1988.............TA DA!.............THE BAG PHONE!
i never had one but a whole bunch of my friends did and they were very functional as a car phone for a few years until the flip phone came out in 1996 and made them all dinosaurs. FYI #2....the cost of a bag phone on ebay? pocket change at $25 in excellent shape but most of you bounced them around in your trunk. lol
********************************
Well, that's the end of the electronic tour. hope you enjoyed the time machine. have a good week

GET READY FOR THE SHAKE & BAKE!
Well, the cauldron is finally beginning to boil and the IMPEACHMENT SOUP will soon be ready. chief cook NANCY PELOSI has had little donnie😈 up to here and has just about finished setting the table.
*********************************
In all the years i have followed politics, i have never met a man that i so wanted to punch✊ in the face like i do little donnie. uneducated, crass, a bully and totally disrespectful of his own office, he just needs to go away.....and like i wrote earlier...........while the impeachment won't go anywhere because of a firewall senate, it will effectively end his presidency and we can go about the business of replacing him.
****************************
I'm a little confused over the position of the CHICAGO TEACHER'S UNION when the strike ended. Everyone agreed on the terms but then the union wanted to be paid for the days they voluntarily missed school to walk the picket lines. WHAT?????
i've seen a lot of strikes in my time but NEVER saw the strikers compensated for strike time. never. I think MAYOR LORI LIGHTFOOT was the bigger person when she offered 5 days pay out of the 11 they missed. but the CTU continues to whine when the mayor didn't have to give them anything.
****************************
and speaking of strikes......I don't think teachers should have a legal right to strike. cops & firefighters can't strike. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE A DEAL, then bring in an independent federal arbitrator and let that person settle the contract.........WHILE EVERYONE KEEPS WORKING. simple and much less divisive that a strike.
***************************
FINALLY............so you want a python for a pet instead of a cat or dog or bird???? READ CAREFULLY.......... a 36 year old woman was found dead in indiana when her 8-foot reticulated snake coiled around her neck and killed her. exactly how close do you let a freaking godzilla snake get to your neck???
*****************************
have a warm weekend !!

EMPTYING THE BUCKET
After a week of sleeping on everything, i've come to the following conclusion:
If EDDIE PINIERO misses a makeable kick this week, he should be released on sunday night. we've seen enough mediocrity this season and it's time to start slinging the blade.
80% is cody parkey-like.
************************************
There is no freaking way the bears will keep MITCH THE MUTT but they'll have to eat a $9 million cap hit unless they trade him before 6/1/2020, then the hit is just half that. He has been a disaster for the entire city and has crushed our super bowl dreams all by himself.
**************************************
RYAN PACE is signed thru 2021. can the organization keep a guy who had wide eyes for mitch the mutt, JOSH BELLAMY, MARCUS WHEATON (11 million) ANTREL ROLLE (11m) MARCUS COOPER, TREY BURTON (22 million for a backup in philadelphia), ADAM SHAHEEN, wife beater (not to be outdone by the cubs) RAY MCDONALD AND my all time favorite for throwing hundred dollar bills up in the air...............................
QUARTERBACK MIKE GLENNON!! Pace signed him to a 45 million dollar contract for three years with 18 mil guaranteed. it gets better. glennon played 4 games and then was cut at the end of the season so the bears choked on a 12 million dollar buyout and glennon laughed all the way to the bank. he got paid 4.5 million PER GAME PLAYED before he got benched. guess who has a degree in business management? not ryan pace.
**************************************
remember when none of us could afford blackhawk tickets just a few years ago? the good thing about the blackhawks SUCKING is that tickets are suddenly very affordable on stubhub & ebay. tickets with a face value of $350 are now selling for $200 and that's main floor on the blue line. you want to go upstairs? $30, $40, etc.
TAKE ADVANTAGE NOW so your kids can see a game. kids don't care if the team sucks but it might make life long fans out of them. and they should all experience the national anthem and when the hawks score a goal. (no guarantee these days) the hawks play three games in late december/early january......methinks they make great holiday presents.
******************************
The WHITE SOX need mucho left handed hitting, the BULLS need defense and the cubs need a miracle. either BRYANT, BAEZ or CONTRERAS are out the door and their new manager, DANCING WITH THE STARS DAVID, will have to make do with some very young players because both THEO & RICKETTS have clearly stated they won't be buyers. excuse me, captain, isn't that an iceberg dead ahead?
*******************************
We're in november and my favorite holiday is just four weeks away.
yowsa! have a great weekend and stay warm.
