WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN GOING ON!

So you think the CHICAGO BULLS are ready to dump the injury riddled/suspension plagued CLEVELAND CAVALIERS? well, the bookies have their middle fingers upraised and they're looking at you!  they've made the cavs & LEBRON 12-5 favorites to win the series and a 4.5 favorite for tonight's game. now we all know that the bulls have to win one game in cleveland and then protect home court to win the series so maybe tonight is the night to move on the bulls.  healthy & rested but who shows up tonight, derrick or mr. softee?

i'm always intriqued by the timing of terminations in baseball. in most sports, they take place the day after the season ends but in baseball, it can happen anytime. MILWAUKEE BREWER manager RON ROENICKE got the ax yesterday AFTER beating the revived CUBS two out of three but the brewers aren't a very good team and had a lot of early injuries but when you start the season 7-18 and are mentioned daily as the 'worst team in baseball, you are ripe for a pink slip.  

now if JERRY REINSDORF would just apply the above logic to a team that's 8-14 and the 'disappointment of the year,' maybe we could turn things around on the south side.

HOW ABOUT THOSE BLACKHAWKS? after doing a HOUDINI in the first game against the MINNESOTA WILD, they totally dominate game two and now force the wild to win 4 of the next 5 games with two of those at the united center, where the hawks are undefeated in the post season this year.

the 'fight of the century' went as planned for the bookies as FLOYD MAYWEATHER won a unanimous decision. most of the betting was on MANNY PACQUIAO, probably because mayweather is extremely good but VERY unlikable, kind of like betting against the NEW YORK YANKEES in their heyday. reports vary but it looks like mayweather pockets 165 million and manny brings home 115 million. not too bad for 36 minutes of work. i wonder how much UNCLE SAM takes for his cut.

HEY, THE CHICAGO FIRE have won three of four.........just kidding.  i needed some filler.
