as predicted, the cubs are terrible and on pace to lose 93 games. mike quade is the long term sacrificial lamb while the fans get screwed right now with this collection of overpaid has-beens and a roster that's roughly 50% minor leaguers. too bad the ticket prices are major league.
speaking of cub fans, some have finally realized that 'quality counts' and have decided to stay away from the park despite all of the tickets having been sold. memorial day was a perfect example. 85 degrees at wrigley on the holiday monday but only 30,000 in the park. when's the last time that happened? ricketts will start to feel the squeeze if the cub fans stick to their guns and demand a better protect by staying away.
did you see aramis try to catch a ball with his mouth? classic. beckham finished second in this contest with his attempt to catch a ball with his eye.
on the south side, a dismal start may have doomed them but they are showing signs of life but still suffer from inconsistencies on offense. the sorry part is they have outstanding pitching and an all-star closer but they can't hit. how can adam dunn not have a single hit off left handers after two months? and alex rios is the south side answer to carlos pena.
the bulls had a great season and a deep run into the playoffs but need some help at several positions but even if they get help, they still won't be as good as the heat. unless dwight howard comes to chicago. please.
derrick rose was terrible against the heat but i checked the books and kobe also sucked his first three years in the playoffs, finally hitting his stride with the arrival of shaq, who was then in his prime. rose sucked but he had no help.
the fire dumped their coach and..., oh never mind.
i don't think the NFL starts on time unless the players get a favorable court ruling next week. if not, watch for the season to be played in november & december only. the owners won't be the first to blink.
NHL? you have to hate that whiny bitch roberto luongo but vancouver is the best team and will take the cup in 6 games.
adios

Derrick Rose might be over the hill by the time that lockout is completed.
NFL lock out...I agree...The players will blink first. Secret meetings in Chicago by the owners sounds good, especially when the goon from Carolina is involved. He seems to be the ring leader of those owner clowns.
Are the "slaughter" still in business?
