the CHICAGO BULLS look to be in trouble against miami and we're all locked in with ragging on carlos boozer but if you want a real villian for games 2 & 3, look no further than #1, mvp derrick rose. he has stunk up the place in consecutive games and the bulls have NO CHANCE unless he responds to the pressure of the conference finals rather than disappear.
the WHITE SOX, on the other hand, have righted their ship by winning 5 of the last 6 series and splitting the other. adam dunn appears to be a mistake and alex rios is stuck in reverse but the pitching has been outstanding and if the bats ever thaw out, the train will become non-stop to the top. paul konerko is still the best player on either side of town.
adios to HARMON KILLEBREW, a class guy.
best wishes to MOOSE SKOWRON in his fight against lung cancer.
the CUBS are still a terrible organization which has stocked the team with more overpaid head cases like matt garza and carlos pena. they are on pace to lose 90 games and the fans are already staying away from wrigley in droves. this team is very similar to the titanic and just floating towards the iceberg so fasten your seat belts for a long 4 year ride on the s.s. ricketts.
the BEARS are the most popular team in town and the ratings for football are thru the roof but if the regular season is affected by the lockout, the nfl will take a major hit. the owners once again have the players over a barrel and the courts appear to be on their side so once the paychecks run out this summer, the union eventually will fold like a cheap suitcase but at what cost to both sides?
the BLACKHAWKS showed the effects of the stanley cup hangover by underachieving all season and then losing in the first round. they are the perfect example of 'enjoy it while you can' because there are no guarantees in sports.
the CHICAGO FIRE soccer team ? never mind.

The Bulls woke a sleeping giant in game 1 and the Heat absolutely made the bulls wet themselves the next 4, 4th quarters in a row. The Heat showed absolute domination in "crunch time" and the Bulls had no answer.
I believe I heard Rose shot 6.2% in the last 4, 4th quarters when Lebron was checking him. The lack of a 2nd scorer is glaring. Ray Allen?
Living in the Miami media market, I watched over 50 Heat games this year. I know, I know. But what I saw is a team start out rocky at 9-8 and then catch a groove after the all-star break. The scary thing is they will never be this "bad" again. Their chemistry is obviously going to improve the more they play together, but they are also going to be able to round out their roster the way they want now that they know their m.o.
I am a Bulls fan and MJ has long been my idol. But, I have always taken "heat" (pun intended) being a Chicagoan who claimed, Lebron has a chance to surpass MJ as the best player ever. I have been defending this argument for 6 years now.
The on the court play speaks for itself as Lebron is proving to be a facilitator first and he can take over a game on either offense or defense as we saw this series when he shut the MVP down cold. Once he adds a low post game, similar to how MJ developed his later in his career, look out. There will be no stopping him. Lebron's killer instinct isn't up to MJ's yet, but he is still young. He is only going to get better and I think we saw him gain confidence this series that will help him grow as a player in the coming years. The last thing is the 6 rings and I have a feeling Lebron will have at least 1 for the thumb. Stay tuned for some great basketball in the coming years (assuming they aren't locked out).
Derrick Rose is a great player, but he was all alone in the 4th quarter. The Heat are on a different level than the Bulls and it is up to Pax and Foreman to get him help. Dwight Howard?
