does it ever end on the north side? an embarrassment to major league baseball the majority of the last hundred years, they may have finally climbed to the top of ineptitude mountain.  opening up the season on NATIONAL FREAKIN TELEVISION and what do they have? a stadium that looks like war torn beirut with zero bleachers, dead ivy and my favorite part.......NO BATHROOMS in the concourse.  that's right, PORTA-POTTIES INSIDE the ball park.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? this park smells like a forest preserve outhouse most of the year and now they're bringing in portable johns???????  but they do have buffalo burgers.....and don't you forget it.

PLAYOFFS for the cubs means they need 85 wins.  step right up and place your bets. money, dogs, cats, chickens, houses & cars, whatever feeds your frenzy.  the betting window is now WIDE OPEN.  this is normally when a deafening silence occurs on the north side.

SPEAKING OF NORTH SIDE JERKWADS, what the hell were they thinking at DE PAUL when they rehired DAVE LEITAO as their basketball coach?? athletic director JEAN LENTI PONSETTO, who apparently buys all of her clothes at west side garage sales, takes the early lead for VILLAGE IDIOT OF THE YEAR.  two weeks ago, de paul was searching the country for the "best candidate" and they hire this retread?  why don't they just make a large sign saying "we don't care about basketball anymore" ?

a simple answer to this problem of crappy basketball schools.  take the university teams from detroit, loyola, de paul, uic, st. louis, green bay & milwaukee and start a conference.  at least the competition would be equal. they would all suck.

kudos to the BALTIMORE RAVENS for their new zero tolerance program regarding behavior off the field.  the ravens have cut three players in a month for everything from domestic violence to dui's.  a 180 degree turnaround for this franchise.

how screwed up is the state of indiana for passing the anti-gay legislation which will eventually cost them final fours, super bowls, the nfl draft and every other major gathering, sports related or not. i wonder if they're going to approve slavery next.  this is when you activate the 'punch in the mouth' machine.
