thoughts & things 1/13/11

RAHM EMANUEL sits at 49% in the latest poll and needs another per cent to avoid a runoff election in the chicago race for mayor. should he be worried about a runoff? nope. the black candidates have all self destructed with their buffoonish behavior and city clerk de valle was never a factor which leaves gery chico at 19%. do the math.

charlie sheen makes 1.8 million dollars PER WEEK. i hope he has some left to pay for the coffin he's going to need very soon. maybe he could hook up with linsay lohan.

roy roger's stuffed horse, trigger, was sold at auction for $266,000. if you don't own a museum, what the hell do you do with him?

grandma gives birth to her own grandson via the sperm from her son-in-law. just call me creeped out.

ANOTHER animal shelter has been shut down because of cruelty to animals. that's two in two months. maybe it's time for the locals to inspect these facilities on a regular basis? and send the owners to prison, not branch court for a slap on the wrist.

looks like the baseball fun will be on the south side of town again this year.

how the mighty have fallen. the blackhawks. wow.

adios for a while. stay warm.

THE WRAP UP

the completion of the super bowl provides a much needed 30 day break to recharge our batteries for march madness and then the return of baseball. there is nothing worse than the nba in february, unless it's women's college basketball. ugly all the way around.

congrats to aaron rodgers on winning the super bowl mvp and he truly seems to be a nice guy, which is a nice change from that drug addicted, penis tweeting, wife cheating, alcoholic dirtbag who used to be the quarterback up north.

just curious....did anyone tweet that charles woodson or donald driver 'quit' on their team when they didn't return from their injuries?

the FACE VALUE of a super bowl ticket this year was $800 and a broker was going to give me $11,000 for my 2 seats if the bears went to the dance. and you think YOU were disappointed when they lost?

the super bowl will be in new york in 2014. has anyone looked out the window recently?

my buddy pete thinks the nfl should build a stadium complex which would include "nfl land" in a warm weather site and the super bowl would always be played at that site. nfl land would be like a sports themed great america and the retractable domed stadium could be used for concerts, conventions, etc. the rest of the year. it has merit.
